LOOKBOOK
Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog. It's getting pretty cold outside so I thought I would do a blog post on how to wear skirts for winter to stay warm and be stylish at the same time. I am not that much of a skirt girl so I thought it would be interesting to experiment and throw some outfits wearing skirts. I found out that choosing the right skirt for your body type and accompanying accessories will leave you feeling both warm and fashion forward. Apparently, leg coverings are of key importance since they will keep you from getting too cold and uncomfortable. I always like to wear black stockings with my skirts because I feel like they are a fashionable yet practical attention-getter, slimming your legs. As knee high boots are having a bit of fashion moment right now why not completing your look with a pair of thigh high beauties;
I have put together four different outfits to show you how I would wear my skirts for winter. I hope that my post will inspire you to leave behind your uncomfortable skinny jeans and try to experiment with the skirts and shorts that you already have in your wardrobe.

LOOKN01|the black leather shorts.
For that outfit I wore my black leather shorts with thick black stockings and a stripped turtleneck.
I completed the look with a statement necklace and a fedora hat which brings together the whole outfit. I would suggest to pair your leather shorts with a more conservative top to create balance. ( Turtleneck from Primark, shorts from Zara , hat from Dorothy Perkins )

LOOKN02|the print skirt.
I wore my print skirt with a chunky white sweater in order to dress it down. Skirts with prints are a little bit tricky to style so in my opinion it is better to combine them with a simple top. Indisputably, some people master mixing prints but if you are not one of them my advice would be to play it safe with the top. (Sweater and earrings from H&M, skirt from Primark)
LOOKN03|the ruffle skirt
For this look I wanted to combine basic garments that we all have in our wardrobe. It is very easy to always look put together if you combine basics in the right way. ( Turtleneck from Missguided, skirt form H&M , bomber jacket from Primark , hat form Dorothy Perkins )
LOOKN04|the knitted skirt
For this look I picked a skirt made of a heavier material. Lightweight fabrics look out of place for winter and will only make you feel colder. I decided to combine two massive trends; the turtleneck and the button up skirt to create a more sophisticated look. (Turtleneck from Missguided, Skirt from Primark, Chanel bag)
